Welcome to Wellspring! We are currently located at 100 Salem Street in downtown Thomasville, but, just like the Spirit, we are on the move! Our nearly finished building is located at 600 May Rd in Thomasville and we hope to see you there soon. Continue reading to meet some of our leaders...

  • Lead Pastor- Dan Shoaf

Dan stepped into his position as lead pastor of Wellspring in 2005 after serving as the associate pastor and children's minister for many years. He brings the Word with compassion and truth and is always willing to answer any questions about faith, holiness, or deer hunting. He holds a BA in Sociology from Greensboro College and has completed studies at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Alongside him in ministry is his wife, Jennifer, and their four children.

  • ASsociate Pastor- Andy Henry

Andy has served Wellspring for many years as a leader in worship and as the man to fill a need as he sees it. At the beginning of 2018, Andy stepped into the role of associate pastor, a role he was prepared for through his faithful service as youth pastor and assistant pastor in churches in Alabama, Michigan and Indiana, long before he came to Wellspring. He speaks God's Word with knowledge, wit, and energy, which is an excellent combination for leading young people every Sunday at "The Net".

  • Youth Pastor- Justin Bingham

Justin is a teacher, in every sense of the word. Not only does he teach at a local Christian Academy, his excitement for teaching overflows into every aspect of his life, especially his leadership of youth. Justin  has a Master's Degree in Biblical Studies, but is not simply focused on passing on knowledge. He is passionate about discipleship and the biblical relationship it entails. He shares this devotion with young adults on Wednesday nights at the group called "The Compass".

  • Worship leader- Brent Everhart

Since the start of Wellspring in 1999, Brent has lead the people in worship. Largely self-taught over those years, Brent strives to bring the congregation to worship through heartfelt leading and excellent musicianship. Through his God-given passions and talents, he built the band, sound, and media teams into a cohesive worship team striving to glorify God in every little thing they do as they lead others to set their hearts on God alone.

OUr Beliefs

  • We believe in God the father, who has no beginning or end and who created all things.
  • We believe in the Holy Spirit, who draws us to God, shows us our need for God, and fills followers of Jesus with the presence of God.
  • We believe that people have rejected God through sin and, left to their own devices, would be forever separated from him.
  • We believe in Jesus Christ, God's son, who, being fully man and fully God lived a perfect life, yet despite his innocence was crucified and, on the third day, rose. We believe that through this act of sacrifice, Christ defeated death and opened the door for humanity to be forgiven and reconciled with God, and that belief in Jesus is the only path to salvation.
  • We believe that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one and that as three in one, God exists as a perfect community of Three, the Trinity.
  • We believe that God created humanity with the ability to connect with Himself and others in a community of love.
  • We believe in one God-endorsed, universal Church made up of all people, past, present, and future, who truly trust in Jesus Christ as their Forgiver and follow him as their Leader.  Each local gathering of believers uniquely expresses the community of God to a disconnected world.
  • We believe that simple faith in Jesus Christ is only the first step of the journey with God and that we should be continually transformed by our community with God so that our character becomes like that of Jesus. We must walk with God daily and become immersed in biblical relationships full of truth and grace.
  • We believe that the Bible is the complete, true, inspired word of God.
  • We believe that Jesus Christ will return one day to resurrect our bodies, judge all people, and restore all of creation to its pristine intent.
